| Bradford Peverell |
Bradford Peverell is not far from the county town of Dorset, Dorchester and it lies below Poundbury Hill. What is probably Dorsets most famous historian John Hutchins was born here in 1698 and the church which is dedicated to St Mary, is one of a few in Dorset that has a spire. Dr Howley who was one of the rectors at Bradford Peverell went on to become the Archbishop of Canterbury and he had the great honour of crowning Queen Victoria at her coronation. |
