Witchampton
Overlooked by the church dedicated to St Mary, St Cuthburga and All Saints is the Manor House, what remains of the manorial barn, and a water mill that has been derelict for many years, but there are also some beautiful timber framed cottages with thatched roofs, the Post Office had doorway that would look more at home in a church and this was the hub of the village where all the local news and gossip would be shared by the villagers.

The War Memorials tands next to the church lych gate and honours the men of  Witchampton as well as Crichel who gave their lives for freedom in two World Wars and in the churchyard there is a mounting block.  Inside the church there used to be a place where if you put a coin into a slot a recording of the church bells would play, a short sermon would be preached or even the Hallelujah chorus would ring out. Sadly this has long gone and it is thought that this was unique to this one church.
